Sep. 24 - 26 Mukoujima Hyakkaen Moon Viewing
Place: Mukoujima Hyakkaen
Time: 9:00 - 21:00(Entrance up to 20:30)
-The park is to lit up with Japanese lanterns (‘andon’). You can take a walk through the park while looking up at the full moon.    
Japanese harp performances(18:00 - 20:00)and tea ceremonies(15:00 - 20:00)to be held every day throughout the moon viewing event.
Sep. 29 Chofu Fireworks Exhibition
Place: Chofu-shi, Tokyo, Tamagawa river bank

- Fireworks to be launched from 2 different places at the Tama River. Approximately 10,000 fireworks.

Sep. 14 - 16 Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Reitaisai
Place:Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, Kamakura
Time: Sep. 14 18:00 - Pre-festival (reporting to the God about the festival)
Sep. 15 10:00 - Main Festival
 Sep. 16  13:00 - Yabusame (men dressed in clothes of the Kamakura Period shooting arrows while riding on a horse), 17:00 - Suzumushi Houjou-sai

- A large ceremony held for 3 days. Tea ceremonies, flower ceremonies, martial art performances, Japanese traditional dances etc. to be performed as a gift to the gods. The ‘Yabusame’ is especially famous.
Sep. 15, 16 & 21 Nezu Shrine Reitaisai
Place:Nezu Shrine(1-28-9 Nezu, Bunkyo-ku)

 - A traditional shrine festival held from approx. 1900 years ago.
Sep. 22 - 23 The 40th Fukuro Festival 
Place: Ikebukuro St. West Exit Venue etc.
Schedule: Sep. 22 Pre-festival/ Sep. 23 12:30 - 20:30 ‘Mikoshi’ Festival
 - A large autumn event held based on the theme ‘Oedo’, ‘Tokyo’ and ‘Ikebukuro’. Ikebukuro Yassa Dance, Kappore (traditional dance from the Edo period), and other local tradional dances from Sado, Okinawa etc. are to be preformed at the Dance Festival (‘Odori-no saiten’) on Sep. 23. A large ‘Mikoshi’ parade also to be held with approx. 5000 participants.
Sep. 29 - 30 Shinagawa Syukuba Festival
Place: From Kita-shinagawa 1, Shinagawa-ku to Minami-shinagawa 3

- An annual festival where you can experience the Edo Period.    Parades and performance showing antiquities from the Edo period, rickshaws, lanterns, Awa-odori dance, marching bands etc. on Sep. 30.
Oct. 1 Kokkeisetsu
Place: Yokohama China Town
Time: 15:00 - 20:00
- A festival to celebrate the 58th year since the founding of People’s Republic of China Lion and dragon dances to be performed on the streets.
Oct. 6 & 7 The 8th Tokyo Yosakoi
Place: Ikebukuro St. Wes Exit Stage etc.
Schedule: Oct. 6 12:00 - 20:00 Dance Festival
Oct. 7 11:00 - 21:00 Yosakoi Dance Contest
 -105 teams, 6000 dancers to dance and compete against each other with the Yosakoi dance. Teams competing with their original Yosakoi dances such as Samba Yosakoi, Jazz Yosakoi, Rock Yosakoi, etc.

Place: Around Sensouji, Asakusa
- Handmade lanterns with pictures, messages and haiku poems written by people from all over Japan to be lit up in and around Sensouji. Lanterns to be lit from sunset to 21:30 (18:00 - on Sep. 15)
